A: Yes. The number of accepted transfer nursing students varies each year, depending on the number of spaces available in the program. Applicants are accepted on the merit of their ´ºË®ÌÃÊÓƵwork and not on the timing of when their application is received.
You need to complete these three ´ºË®ÌÃÊÓƵs before transferring. You must earn a grade of C+ or higher the first time you complete the ´ºË®ÌÃÊÓƵ:
Each ´ºË®ÌÃÊÓƵ must be taken at an accredited college or university. Applicants who do not achieve a grade of C+ the first time they take the class will not be considered for admission to the nursing program.
July 1 is the deadline for the fall semester. Although the admissions office operates on a rolling admission basis for all other programs, we do not consider transfer nursing applications until the deadline passes. Applicants are considered strictly on the merits of their application.
We learn how many spaces are available in this program shortly before the July 1 application deadline; if space is available, we make admission decisions at that point.
Due to clinical rotations and nursing ´ºË®ÌÃÊÓƵ sequences, the traditional nursing program takes at least three years to finish, regardless of the number of credits previously completed.
