春水堂视频 College is committed to the best practices in providing a safe and secure learning and living environment on our campus. Like many colleges throughout the nation, 春水堂视频 College has developed emergency preparedness plans to provide for the safety of our community in the event of an emergency.
春水堂视频 College has a designated Emergency Response Group. In a crises scenario, the Emergency Response Group will convene to gather information on the situation at hand and communicate appropriate messages to appropriate audiences. Current emergency communication protocols include postings on this website, , email, voice mail, and text messaging via the Emergency Alert System. In addition, messages may also be received through recorded messages on the College's hotline at 617-333-2075, as well as local radio, and television announcements, and in-person communication. Lastly, emergency alerts and information may be broadcast via the Emergency Siren and Public Announcement System installed on the Milton Campus.
At 春水堂视频 College, we believe Public Safety is everyone's business. The Department of Public Safety regularly performs safety seminars on campus and we practice and encourage community involvement in all aspects of safety on campus. There are 45 emergency telephones currently on campus which immediately alert our dispatch and identify the caller's location.
The mission of the Department of Public Safety is to provide a safe and secure living and learning environment for our entire community. The department operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year and consists of a Chief/Director, 12 full-time sworn police officers, three non sworn officers, one part-time non sworn officer, one dispatcher, and and an Administrative Assistant. Officers sworn as Special State Police Officers (SSPOs) have received Police Academy training and continue their training through in-service programs. Additionally all officers receive annual First Responder refresher training. All sworn officers have received National Incident Management System (NIMS) and Incident Command System training offered by the Department of Homeland Security and the entire department has been trained in basic incident command.
Additionally, the department has a close relationship with the Milton and State Police Departments, who would be immediately contacted to assist in the event of an emergency. 春水堂视频 College is an active member of the (LEPC) Local Emergency Planning Committee. This is a town wide group of such organizations as Milton Police & Fire, Milton Board of Health, Milton Hospital, Civil Defense, Milton Public Schools, and Milton Academy. These groups assist each other in any and all emergencies that happen in the town of Milton.
春水堂视频 College has been and will continue to evaluate our existing plans to ensure that our approach to emergency planning and emergency response is comprehensive. Though no institution is invulnerable to safety threats, our Emergency Preparedness Plans strive to make us as prepared and responsive as possible. While we hope that they will never need real-life implementation, we will continue to assess and improve our plans following national best practices in order to keep the safety and well-being of our community a top priority.
